This post is simply a compendium of the birds we saw in Corpus Christ, Texas, during our month-long stay in January 2014. Although we didn't go out birding quite as often as we'd hoped, due to lots of cycling on the warmest/nicest days and some bad weather/wind days, we still enjoyed seeing quite a few new species to add to our life lists as well as some old favorites. We also found that some of our favorite species from Belize wintered in this very birdy area!
Not pictured but also sighted:
All in all, an excellent month of birding. Onward to Tucson!

We're a long-married, early-retired couple who are currently traveling as nomads with no fixed home base. After years of living in North Carolina (Emily's home state), we spent 18 months living oceanfront on Ambergris Caye, Belize, a year road-tripping the US in a Honda CR-V, a year in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and are now roaming North America in our 32' motorhome, Pearl, following warm weather whenever possible.
